We might buy a v6 with a stick for our next family car.

Just made this comment on the FP, quite relevant here.

There is something to say about 300(?) hp to the front wheels in a stick shift family sedan.

They're awesomely solid, well performing cars with a whole lot of anonymity and no personality.

Why get that when you can get a 2015 V6 Mustang instead? Or even, the Ecoboost.
AmIrite? ;)

I'd rather take a Civic SI sedan as a family car. Do yourself a favour and keep the $6-7K difference in your pocket, you don't want a FWD 280HP coupe. Or go for a GTI, that's the perfect family car to me. Practical, fast, economic, good looking, etc.

I like it. But isn't the Mazda 6 just way sexier?

I absolutely love my mom's 2004. 148k and still feels tight as a drum, and damn quick. Also, it's plenty practical because the trunk is HUGE. The manual takes up less than 5% of the market, so I would go even further and order a unicorn.

family=4 doors, imo.

we have a suburban, so...

because my mom wants another Honda ( I tried to talk her into a w220 or w221 or with gods help, a phaeton)

So this is like an additional car? Go nuts then! Don't limit yourself to a Honda...that's Lotus Elise money.
I'm a horrible influence.

Get the Accord

Find out why your mom thinks a Honda is a better choice than something else then play that angle.

Nice, but it looks too much like a...well fuck.

I think mostly anything that you can get in sedan form, but get in coupe form makes you look like a douche.
It's a good car, but for what else is out there for the price-point, I'd look elsewhere.

Yeah I wonder what the draw to honda is.
There's a lot more car out there for the $$
I see on the builder that the first level V6 with stick is 31k.
You're almost to an ATS at that point (starts at 33,2)

Or a Porsche. You can totally get a used Cayman for the price of a new Accord coupe (especially using Tavarish math).

You can get a 911 for the price of an Accord also. That'd be my pick (because I actually bought a used 911 with my own real money)
